my wife called CIC today, she got someone helpful who was surprised to see that it was so overdue and he said he'd let them know right now about it.hopefully he did let them know. so hopefully now we hear something soon.

Oh very speedy! Congratulations, you must be delighted! This is very good news. They probably need the copy to save time photocopying... who knows... and even better that they have a same day "in person" service. Lucky you!  Thanks!! We are definately delighted! Still doesn't feel real! I was not expecting it at all, since Viennas time is 9 months avg. We are definately going in person Wow! Sooo fast! I wish its like that in our visa office. hey mdsb - yeah, if maple's file was *received* two days later, that is fine, but I believe the timeline said *AOR*, which is clearly impossible, not to mention given the big delay in first-stage approval that precedes receipt by the VO in June. If sponsorship was approved on August 8th (we'll assume that it was transferred the same day to Buffalo), to go to "in process" in less than three weeks is pretty incredible as well. Plenty of people have been waiting for months without an "in process," some without even an "AOR." So I don't know what to chalk this up to. Another example of CIC's inconsistencies, I suppose.
I think I may have misunderstood my status Application!  I'll just have to wait and see what happens next! |

Congratulations to those who have been approved! My Husband and i sent eveything mid June, I believe it was received either June 14 or 5 .... And we are still waiting and starting to get annoyed. Fingers crossed his criminal checks don't expire while we wait for sponsorship approval.
How do I call CIC and what sort of information do they require? Simply our names?

It says they have started processing my application on Aug 22 but I am unsure which application they are talking about? My husband got a email today saying they recieved his application for PR on June 16,2011. |

Hi Katie - Welcome to June! I've added you to the spreadsheet. Don't worry about the Criminal Checks, they only have to be in date up to the day the application arrives in Mississauga... after that the clock stops ticking... so you should be fine. Good luck! |
