Hey MDSB,  our Ecas was updated with "in process" ..

We received your application for permanent residence on June 17, 2011.

We started processing your application on August 24, 2011.

Medical results have been received.

Question though, we got our PPR on Aug 25th, how come Ecas doesn't show that yet?
When we got our PPR, I went to check ecas after I read the email and it didn't say in process then..
I don't rely too much on Ecas anyways, it is just confusing me.. arghh

It was only now too, that we received an e-cas update saying that they
started processing  my application on August 15, 2011.

We got our passport request on August 19, dated August 16.

Hi MDSB

Thank you for creating and updating the June spreadsheet - it's much appreciated.  Smiley

Can you please update me to include that "in process" started on 18 August.

Thanks!

No probs HoneyEllis.  And great news about being "in process"... I'm still waiting to read those magic words...

I wouldn't rely on ecas either... from what I've read it appears to be really inconsistent with regards to timing of updates.   I've updated the spreadsheet to reflect anyway Smiley

Hi trizienne, I've updated the spreadsheet with your "in progress" too...

So exciting to see some positive June progress... wish London was that speedy  Grin

Good luck this week everyone!   Cool

Hey, this is just a suggestion for our Spreadsheet (more of an idea really), to change the name of the column that is "Passport returned with visa" to something like "Visa issued" because maybe someone will go in person, and its just a tad confusing, that way its best for both scenarios.. and maybe to add another column and the end, of "total days elapsed" so we can all get an idea of how long everyones process took in total number of days..

Again, just a suggestion, no need to if its just more work to be done..thank you for making it and updating it as it is, you're awesome! Smiley

Hey everyone, I've followed glak1234's suggestion and tweaked the spreadsheet...
I had to amend the date format so that the calculation worked properly... hopefully I've not accidentally changed any of your dates - if I have, let me know...

Feel free to make any other spreadsheet suggestions

Hey guys, I have a question.. We got our PPR a few days ago right, and I am currently with my husband and we are planning on going to Vienna sometime soon (8 hrs away) to take his passport there in person (since they have same day service Tues and Thurs)...
I haven't seen a lot of people post here that have gone somewhere in person to get their visa issued.. So I am wondering if someones heard or seen someone post somewhere about same day service... Is it 100% sure? Can they hold a passport if its brought in by any chance? Which sounds stupid to me why would it then be called same day service right.... But in the PPR email, it says same day service, we will try to have it done by 3PM.. And they also asked for a copy of the passport details page which is also weird to me.. Someone tell me Im just paranoid please  Cheesy

Unlike most offices, New Delhi is one of the offices that requests passports at the beginning (shortly after receiving the application) and could hold onto it for months until they are ready to issue the visa.

The majority of all other visa offices requests passports at the final stage of processing when they are ready to issue the visa.
