So... it looks like eCAS is updated more than weekly! Just logged on this morning to see: We received your application to sponsor XXXXX on June 3, 2011.
We started processing your application on July 13, 2011.
We sent you a letter on July 13, 2011 about the decision on your application. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us. I didn't receive an email so will have to wait for the letter...I am hoping this means sponsorship approval...  My application was signed for on June 2nd, but it says here June 3rd, so will update spreadsheet to reflect... Really good to see some June progress!!! Good stuff MDSB- nice to see that they are slowly, but surely moving through the June applications! |

We received the sponsorship approval today via email. I still can't login to e-CAS though, even with the client ID # (long hyphenated surname, maybe that's what it is...)

Hi everyone. CIC is currently working on June application now. I called them today and they said "we opened June 3rd application now". I sent my one on June 8 but got stuck in Canada Post strike/ locked out event  . I have one question please. I sent my application on June 8. Arrived in Mississauga June 12. Then got stuck there till the postal locked out over. But I got email from Canada Post on July 7 that "The receiver of this item, Case Processing Centre, Mississauga, is a Large Volume Receiver and unfortunately the final delivery confirmation and signature are not always obtained, because of the high volume of mail. Most items are delivered without being scanned in the system."
Please follow up directly with receiver to confirm.Okay here I am in EGO  . So my question is; will CIC open my application from the sent (June  date or received date (whatever date they received it) ? Thanks a lot. Have a nice weekend everyone. |

That's great... I can log on to eCAS but didn't get an email - waiting for a letter... I wouldn't worry! Seems to be no set pattern! Did you try the receipt number? You can try calling them once they confirm they are working on application received after the 12th June... but, if it's not in progress they won't be able to give you any info... I'm afraid it's probably going to be more waiting for you... but hopefully not too long! Good luck and keep us updated |
