June 2011 Buffalo applicants: Process and Timeline

Hi,

It has been almost 7 months since I applied and my status is still Received by Visa Office. From the forum I have found that applicants around the world particularly from New Delhi, London, Sydney etc. are getting PASSPORT REQUEST within approx. 6 months. I did not find any information about  May/June 2011 Buffalo applicants in this forum.

This thread has been created for June 2011 Buffalo Applicants............who sent their applications to CIO in June, 2011 indicating Buffalo as their visa office.

Buffalo VO presently has 23 months as its processing time (on the CIC website). This is for applications received BETWEEN November 28, 2008 and June 25, 2010. Six months from receiving application to PPR is very very very fast for Buffalo especially since it has a backlog of cases. Are you sure about this 6mo. processing time?

I just got my PPR two days ago after 21 months at Buffalo -> 3mo at LA VO.

Be patient my friend, I'm sure you will get your file moving in due course.

There is plenty of info. Please check spreadsheet for international applicants below my signature. I am an OCT 2010 applicant and I just heard that they transferred my file to Los Angeles VO. It seems they are working on SEPT - OCT 2010 applicants so you still have a few more months to go.

In theory post June applicants should be faster than pre-june and that is what has been observed at other VO's except Buffalo. Some lucky post june Buffalo applicants even finished in about 12 Months

Wow, 12 months, that sure is quick.

I hope they clear the backlog though, it's only fair to people waiting for so long. But then again, I'm sure there is some logic to this protocol that I/we are not aware.

Hello I'm a Buffalo June 2011 applicant, FSW1.  My app was received on June 29 and I got my PER 9/1.  Since Oct 11 I have been RBVO.  From the post 6/26 tracker it does seem like they're working on Sept/Oct 2010 applications.  I'm really not expecting anything being done prior to 6/2012.  But maybe they'll pick up the pace at Buffalo.  Good luck all.

Status updated to 'Received by Visa Office' on Sept 2011 (I am assuming Buffalo).
No updates ever since.

Hey guys,

Anyone has any update yet? I see some of the NOV 2010 applicant's to buffalo under FSW1 still have RBVO!! I don't see how June or July BFDs are going to help for applications done in first and second quarter of 2011.

I am actually thinking of applying in parallel from New Delhi Visa Office (NDVO) looking at the speed at which NDVO is processing PR applications even if I apply after JULY 2012, I should get PR earlier than buffalo !! Currently researching if that's actually possible.
