If he/she is included in your application, then u will both get the visa at the same time. If not, you will have to sponsor after you've received ur PR. Best thing is to include him/her in the aplicantion as dependant. Good luck...Mandie
Mandie, just to clarify... The embassy was not convinced that we were in a common-law relationship and they didn't give me the points for adaptability that's why I only got 63 points. Now, in January we will reapply... I will retake my IELTS to get higher and to cover 67 pts. What if in out next application, They will still not believe me that our commom-law relationship is genuine, but I have 67 pts. Are they going to grant my dependent (common-law) a visa to accompany me in Canada? I just have to clarify this before we decide to retake IELTS because it is expensive. Hehehe.. Thanks:) |

Honestly ur relationship came under the microscope cos u were claiming points for it.....if u are now applying without claiming points for adaptability, it even gives it more credibility cos u r not in it for the visa. I don't think u shd worry about this. Concentrate on getting ur IELTS. And good luck! Mandie

If you study tracker, you will notice that there is no fixed time for status to change from RBVO to in process (or even MR). What is evident though is the fact that some visa offices are having a faster processing time than others. Manila is a very good example. Youve been RBVO only this Sep, others have been there for 6+ months. Unfortunately, there is nothing one can do than to wait. So wait we should! Good luck! Mandie |

Application processing time is on the CIC website. The reality howeve is what I just told you. Search for the NDVO tracker somewhere on this forum and that might give you some idea.....Mandie |
