Hi pr moon,

1) PER= Positive Eligibility Review : Term coined by members of post 26th June 2010 thread, it was the AOR which they received from CIO. Since, unlike pre 26th June, this email had the wordings " final positive determination of eligibility for processing ". Hence the 1st AOR is popularly now called PER.

2) NER= Negative  Eligibility Review : Opposite of PER

3) As for the timelines , nothing can be said unless first few PERs start coming in for post 1st July applicants. It will help us to establish pattern (timeline).

.
very well explained, two thumbs up!!!

Hey NKKD,

They r not nominating you to update the spreadsheet, they want you to call Mr. KRSZWDA  Smiley... you will get the joke once you read the whole thread.

Everyone wanted sm1 to call Mr KRSZWDA and ask abt the status of the files, and your name was nominated.   Grin

You got me west point. You posted the msg before I could realize and delete it. I am afraid their phones are tapped by the Canadian FBI. Lips sealed

FYI

I found the link were it states that AOR's are being automated starting the 18th of July

http://www.cic.gc.ca/English/resources/manuals/bulletins/2011/ob327.asp

Lets hope for the best!

Read the table "Office issuing the AOR"
Federal Skilled Worker Program

Because of short processing times between application creation in GCMS and eligibility letter, CIO cancels the AOR.
The visa office must manually send an AOR to the PR applicant or authorized representative once PR file is received.

As a part of application process, it is mandatory to submit police certificates/clearances (PCC) or a record of no information. It is essential to give these documents for every country where the applicant have lived for 6 consecutive months or more than that since the time he reached the age of 18. The country should be other than Canada. This PCC is required to be offered for principal applicant as also spouse and child over the age of 18 years

Hope i was able to answer ur query sis..................

Not at all Ravi. May be I did not question right? I know PCC is mandatory but not with ur initial app pack though. You can send it later when the VO asks for it. We did not have time to wait for the PCC as the cap has opened and we did not want to take any chances. It could be about 3 to 4 months b4 VO asks us for the PCC. My question is- Can I go to India for about 5 months while my application is under process with the CIO and thereafter with the VO? And does this effect my application in any possible way?

Hi Hortons,

I don't think there would be any problem. The processing of the app will take some time. You (as a spouse of Principal applicant) can visit your home country if you are confident that PCC can be arranged in your absence in case your VO asked for the same while you are on trip.   For safer side, you can reduce your travelling time to 2-3 months as you don't only have to submit PCC but Medicals as well for which you should be present.

Regards,

Thanks brar82. Finally, someone understood my question in all my confusion. Medical is really far for buffalo VO. Aug 2010 applicants are still waiting for medicals.

Everyone else who replied for my post-Am sorry for the poorly framed question.

Hey Guys.
I'm preparing documents to apply under MI 3. I already have an application under MI 1 which is seems to bee hold after near 2 years.I have some trouble filling forms:

1- I don't have UCI (Generic Form ) from my previous application . they just gave me Imm. File No. ( B05*****) which is not fit in the box. what should I fill in that part.

2-Is job certificate and supporting document (like contract) of spouse necessary? As I remember it was a MUST under MI 1.

3- why they ask about interview language? does it make difference selecting eng. or the mother tongue.

4- it seems that they want just a bank statement instead of 6 months transactions they used to want ? am I right?

5- is there any min value for settlement fund (schedule 3 >10.c ) ? i think it should not be less than min amount that you must have in your bank account ( for a couple ~ 13800 $)?

yeh, it seems like they will not be issuing AORs (from CIO) for those who have applied after 18th july '11.

My doubt would be if they will also include the applications received, but not yet assessed prior to the 18th of july in this process.

>> if u dn't have the UCI no. (as u were n't been provided the no. previously), then u dn't need to fill it.

2-Is job certificate and supporting document (like contract) of spouse necessary? As I remember it was a MUST under MI 1.
>>> Yes ONLY if u r claiming points for Adaptability Criteria>> C. previous work in Canada. As far as I'm concerned, it wasn't mandatory under MI I too.

3- why they ask about interview language? does it make difference selecting eng. or the mother tongue.
>>> god knows... my assumption is it may make a difference if u select different than english.

4- it seems that they want just a bank statement instead of 6 months transactions they used to want ? am I right?
>>> it's better to send both bank certificate & bank statements (ie. transactions of last 3 months). if not possible, u can send either of them.

5- is there any min value for settlement fund (schedule 3 >10.c ) ? i think it should not be less than min amount that you must have in your bank account ( for a couple ~ 13800 $)?
>>> min. value must be AT LEAST that has been specified by CIO for specific no. of members.

hi,
answers have been written above in blue.

hope it helped.

hi,

seems like since u have applied after 18th July 2011, u will not get AOR.

Pls have a look on these:

    *  Because of short processing times between application creation in GCMS and eligibility letter, CIO cancels the AOR.
    * The visa office must manually send an AOR to the PR applicant or authorized representative once PR file is received.

go to http://www.cic.gc.ca/English/resources/manuals/bulletins/2011/ob327.asp for more details.
