It is credible, this is an article published in a Canadian daily paper (The globe and mail) however the article did not say suspension. It did say they are going go limit and actually limiting is what they have done last years and especially this year. So probably next year will be an even smaller cap then this year. |

They are talking about major changes to the immigration system as a way to reduce the backlog! They did not say that they are shutting down the immigration system (although they have implied it in a way) but they clearly said that they aim at reducing the backlog number by reducing the intake of applications....They also clearly mentioned that Canada needs immigrants to fuel up the human resources needed for the economy. I think that there will be changes, major ones, but I don't think that we need to worry about it now as they current system will remain valid until June 26th 2012. |

Hello Robin, As per the recent updates from forum members, it is taking them around 2,5 month from the date of receiving the application to issue a ER. Congratulations as your bd was encashed which means you send all the required documents. They will issue PER based on your file date approximately 7 to 10 days, I guess. Last week cic finished whose application received 19th or 20th of July. Good luck for you.
