Hi gus iam not new here, but this is my first time writing. CIO recived my app on 17/july, My NOC is 3152 (London VO). And just as a 100% comfort thing i called Canada Immgigration line (CIO) and they told me they are still on July 7th applications. Please add me to the Spreadsheet WESTPOINT! and Thx every1 4 ur moral support!!!  Added. Please look up the spreadsheet & provide your missing details. Good Luck. |

i'm worrying more! why no 3152 update here? anybody encashed?
i also can't check if my bd has been encashed already since the bank told me that they cannot trace it. also worried because I sent my application july 27th. |

More Opportunities for Filipinos to get Canadian Visas

Filipinos will get more chances to immigrate to Canada and better trade relationships with Canada, according to Canadian envoy.
During an interview on Tuesday, Canadian Ambassador to the Philippines Christopher Thornley stated that there was an increase in the demand for skilled workers from the Philippines in Canada, especially caregivers, nurses, lawyers, trade people and teachers.
According to the statistics given by Mr. Thorney, the Philippines has surpassed India and China to become the largest ethnic group migrating to Canada. To date, there are about 500,000 Filipinos now living in Canada.
In 2010, the majority of the 250,000 Canadian immigrants were Filipinos. Figures from 2010 also showed that Canada granted more Canadian resident visas to Filipino nationals than all other nationalities.
The Ambassador also complimented the capabilities of new Canadian citizens from the Philippines, "Filipinos are very well educated who can contribute to many of our manpower requirements. Aside from that, you also speak English well, which makes communication better,"
Since Filipinos are very fluent in English communication, Mr. Thornley is eager to develop leisure and medical tourism opportunities between the two countries.
"Again the Filipinos speak English well and Canadians feel more comfortable traveling to places where people understand and can communicate with them", he said. As such, Mr. Thornley also addressed the need to set up more flights from the Philippines to Canada.

Getting close to the finish line, alexchristi. Nice.  After I read your post I tried the online service for the first time and saw that my status still reads "Application Received." Hi Alan I logged on just there to check mine. It says: "Centralized Intake Office Sydney (CIO-S) Eligibility Review Complete." Click to next screen... "Permanent Residence. We received your application for permanent residence on July 6, 2011. We reviewed your application and sent you a letter on September 21, 2011. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us." Basically, this refers to the email I got on 21st Sept. So, guess you will get this message, and then from that I think we both get something along the lines of "Application transferred to visa office". |

I am really sorry for you but please be informed that you cannot have the IELTS score card delivered to CIC on their own. It is not aceepted and is clearly mentioned in the guide i guess. You can ask ielts to send the score card to your employer's address and then you can send it along with your package. I am sure the others will agree on this. Please take care in this front. I wish you good luck in your next submission.
Hi there NKKD Hortons, what are great idea and that's what I just did today-request the score cards (yes, 2 of them, just in case) to be sent to my roommate's office which I will submit it again in 2 week's time. I have also asked the head of the pharmacy department to sign a document verifying my employment status, duration, job description, etc. I am trying to find out how to do that with my old employers now in the US. Any idea? |
