sorry echoes for the news ...

i was wondering now that echoes cc was already charged so he was in the cap but as he received a ner he will get the refund but does that mean there is now one spot open in the cap ...

Well, I talked to Vienna visa office last year in July regarding 1000 CAP and they told me that 1000 applications will be put into processing but it's not mandatory for CIC to issue 1000 PR visas. If 100 people get NER, CIC will not take 100 more to reach 1000 per year. I think the same thing is happening this year with 500 CAP. It would be good if things are different and they accept more applications after NER's are issued, but as per their instructions I think that is not the case.

that means they do the completeness check only after deducting fees from our cc/bd. is not it?
there may have a lot of possibilities to get NER  even after fee payment.

regards shijoal

Of course, fee payment is done because you sent all documents in right order and nothing is missing. After that they read your papers in detail and count points. Wayne was right all the time. He knows this process very well and now I see that CC charging means nothing except that you are in the CAP.

Hello dear forum members. We received  NER one hour ago.

Reason for it is:

You have indicated that you have work experience in an occupation with the following NOC (National Occupational Classification) code: 1122. Although this NOC code corresponds to the occupations specified in the Instructions identified by the Minister, you have not provided sufficient evidence that you performed the actions described in the lead statement for the occupation or that you performed a substantial number of the main duties of the occupation as set out in the occupational description of the NOC, including all of the essential duties.

After taking into consideration the work experience supporting documentation on file, I am not satisfied that you have performed the actions described in the lead statement for the occupation or that you performed a substantial number of the main duties of the position as described in NOC.  As such, I am not satisfied that you are a 1122 – PROFESSIONAL OCCUPATIONS IN BUSINESS SERVICES TO MANAGEMENT.

sad to hear that, no hope lost, canada's not the final bus stop but if you still planning to apply next year, i'll suggest you go through the jd on the noc and apply a similar description. gd luck!

Hey guys,
When CIC send applications to VO??

Option 1: After 1 mnth from PER rec. date
Option 2: Immeidately within 1 week after PER date.
Option 3: By/after reviewing all the application under that NOC.
Option 4: After Cap reached date is announced.

Pl comment.... Smiley
I think that they send them in batches as they receive them (FIFO again), so I would go for option 2.

please explain somebody,

according to our forum conclusions if your cc/bd is charged you are in the cap .. ok accepted..so 500 cc/bd's charged by cic for noc 1122...
now suppose as echoes got ner for some reason, suppose other 150 applicants get ners for some reason or other after cc/bd charged ...
so does that mean 150 spots are open now or those spots are wasted ...

i think it gives room for other applications to fill up and my guess is also that it shows why some 1122 applications are pending as not all first 500 will surely scale through, once some files get ner, some pending applications replaces and fills the cap. its just my assumption.

Dear Echoes,
Very sorry to hear the bad news, I think CIC are very picky when it comes to the popular NOCs as they have plenty to choose from.
Hard luck dear.

Well, I can't copy - paste job duties. They were in similar meaning as NOC 1122. They can't expect that Croatian workers have the same job description as Canadian workers. They should say that they want only Commonwealth countries workers and we will not apply any more for NOC 1122. I don't understand. Maybe it's because my IELTS was only 6.5. I don't know.

No hope's lost, there is International Experience Canada - Working Holiday program, under which people from certain countries can work in Canada for 1 year under Open work permit. My country is eligible as some other as well. Check this out:

Change the language settings of your browser (based on which one you're using); I am using explorer, the settings tab is at the top right, the language setting is the first option.
