I was basically talking about CAD and not USD, becuase I heard lot of doubts rgding the increased value of CAD to INR...24010/- or 490CAD for RPRF basically comes to the value of 49/- per CAD, however today CAD rate is 53/- !!!!
hence the confusion

I think you can go either with INR or CAD as its been mentioned on CIC website. You dont need to worry about the conversion.
DD in INR is easy to track & many seniors did send their DD in INR>>>
