Hi everyone!

I would like to know if the money we need for Proof of Funds has to be kept intact the entire time?  We're a family of 5 so we need to show proof of about $23000 so does that mean i can't touch the money at all?

Help!!!

Thank you westpoint, for your valuable input and for confirming various points! And comforting to hear that you too have selected "never married" for children.

Do you remember where you saw this guidance? I just can't seem to find it, even though I remember seeing it and thus following it and using it on my forms.

This forum is a valuable resource, thanks everyone for your input, and good luck.

once suggestion to scottishk and everyone who has sent their application. just dont think too much about what you have already sent. that will unnecessary create panic. so just think that whatever you have sent is okay.

it is actually not necessary to keep the fund intact. but it is highly advised to keep it till you get you visa. there is hardly one percent chance that they cross check it. but if they do and they found some mischief then your case is gone. it also depends how you have shown your fund. i mean have you shown the entire fund savings account or term deposit or its a combination of multiple savings account and multiple term deposits.

it is best if you keep it intact and untouched during the duration of your application. anytime without your knowledge, once u passed eligibility test and forward your papers to your visa office, they might do background check or verification on your end.

Thanks for all the reply regarding my proof of funds question. Am I correct to assume that there is no way for them to check your accounts? Remember banks usually do not divulge information about their clients. Only thing we are sending them are certifications, not an authority to look into our accounts. I hope somebody can give their opinion on this.

Most of the embassies can verify about bank information but CIC case they believe at info which is sent by applicant

hi guys.

I have a question..my first employment was a job order status..then the next COE is a permanent status..

in my permanent COE status, I have annual compensation, position held, date started, number of hour and company seal and dry seal..

my job order status has no annual compensation..it only has type of contract, detail order, date started
and company seal but no dry seal because they have no available dry seal..

but in my detailed JD, I have included all the annual compensation of job order and permanent status..

do you think they will consider it as lack of details in my job order COE?

or they will still call the company for further evaluation, reference and quierries
regarding my employment?

Thank you!!

CIC has updated the numbers of complete applications received so far.

1122 is currently at 52. Way below what we were all thinking. I guess they mean actual complete applications after the completion check.

Give me 5 stars for this breaking news update  Wink

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/complete-applications.asp

Total complete applications received since July 1, 2011
On July 1, 2011, the eligibility criteria for Federal Skilled Worker applicants changed.

Between July 1, 2011, and June 30, 2012, a maximum of 10,000 complete Federal Skilled Worker applications will be considered for processing. Within the 10,000 cap, a maximum of 500 Federal Skilled Worker applications per eligible occupation will be considered for processing within this same time frame.

These limits do not apply to applications with an offer of arranged employment (job offer).

Applications received toward the overall cap: 155 of 10,000 as of July 21, 2011

Applications received per eligible occupation:
Eligible Occupation
(by National Occupational Classification [NOC] code) Number of Complete Applications Received*

*The number of complete Federal Skilled Worker applications received as of July 21, 2011 is approximate.

**Once the cap has been reached, we can only accept applications for this occupation from people with an existing offer of arranged employment.

NOTE: Because application intake fluctuates, these figures are meant as a guide only. There is no guarantee that an application sent in now will fall within the cap.
