Hi everyone. I hope you are all doing good. I have not been able to post much, or respond to private messages and requests for updates. So, again, I am doing the updates in one go via this post. I am doing very well in Toronto. I have been here for 3 weeks.. nearly a month now. Time flies. Yesterday I started on my first canada job as a resource & capacity manager for a business & tech consulting firm. Happened pretty quickly. I feel blessed. So far so good. I couldn't have asked for a better start. Canada has been good to me in a very extraordinary way. So guys, power up, build confidence, and make sure you carry a positive attitude and perspective at all times. I hope everybody makes it here, and makes the most of what Canada has to offer. For those asking, immigration at Pearson Intl Airport was a breeze for me. I was not asked any questions and was therefore out the door in 5 mins. After arrival, I got my social insurance number in 30 minutes at a Service Canada outlet in a mall (they are everywhere, google it!); I applied for my health card at a Service Ontario outlet near the apartment I am renting (they are everywhere, too, google it!) in under 10 minutes; I got a canadian mobile phone line at a mall in 10 mins, and I opened bank accounts in 2 banks (TD Canada and RBC) in an hour. I got my credit card from RBC (Royal Bank of Canada). They are pretty friendly to immigrants there at RBC. I suggest you open an account and apply for a credit card there. So my point is: clean up your act before you leave, take care of things that you have to take care of back at home, because the things you have to do here once you arrive, you can do in a week. They are fast and efficient around here. Good luck my friends! And please pray that things continue to go well for me. Hi dear,
i don't think that your case will be rejected without giving you any chance. Visa office will ask you for updated Proof of fund with Medical request. But to be on the safer side you may send the visa office fresh updated bank statements.

HI
all
I reached toronto at 7pm on 6th april by british airways.there was smooth process at terminal 3 of pearson airport.i am outside the airport within 1 hour.i opened bank account with TD bank.

Hi dear,
I am waiting for my Passport request now a days. whats the progress in your case?
Still waiting for medical requests. Its been a long tike since anything happened on my ecas. Address disappeared several months ago and has still not reappeared. In 3 months time, i will have completed a full year since the date my package was mailed to CIO Sydney. I sent a case specific inquiry a few months back and they sent me the generic answer everyone gets (awaiting review). Congratulations on your progress! You're almost there. Here's hoping we both receive some good news soon. |

Go to www.cic.gc.ca and open the page. On right side there is I NEED... Then 4th option is change of address. Click on that and follow instructions. Hope this helps u. |

1. No need of spouse's IELTS 2. You have to send 2 envelop with ur home address printed on them, one in english and one in native language of ur country. They sometimes use these envelop for sending us documents. But most of times it is useless. |

no need of envelops , print out your address in both English and native language on separate papers and send it with your application package. CIC will use it for snail mail. |
