HI guys... do you know what proof you sent to NDVO as having completed medicals. Is it the form A signed by the doctor, but the category A,B or C was not ticked. This is what I got and was given to me the day I went for medicals.
My clinic says they sent my forms with in 7 days, but still waiting for it to show up in the ECAS status?? It is 15days now>>>

Hi Vinpar

You just need to submit the original receipts of the medical examination that you got from the doctor as a proof. That shud suffice. Dont worry about the ECAS status.. they are not very prompt in updating it. Mine was updated 20 days after they sent my medical reports.. So have patience

Hello everyone,
                       I need some inputs here, I am planning to get a driving licence from India. Now if I want to apply for International driving licence will i have to wait till i get my visa and then apply for International driving licnce. Secondly after i happen to reach Canada will I have to give any further driving test or the international licence issued to me from India itself is enuf.

U will get the international license in a day or two after u apply. U just need to show them the visa. This license is valid for one year in canada and u need not give any test there. However, if u want a canadian license ( which u should), u need to surrender your indian license and give their driving test and exam and u will get that. It also depends upon which state u go to. e.g. alberta gives u an ealry license than ontario

Thank you very much strange4ever. I am humbled with your kind words. I am lucky that my wife was able to do that for us. She was very persistent and kept saying that we should write to the CIO and request re-evaluation. This was despite the fact that even immigration lawyers said that they cannot gurantee anything and there is no process by law to challenge the CIO decision. But Here she goes... We drafted a long email and requested revisit to our case. And Wallah.... I recieve an email asking me to send some more supporting documents which we did. and roughly a month later, I get a sound on my blackberry and thats a new mail. I open it and there it was "P.E.R" ...What a feeling. ...See how I got a pleasan recollection of some great memories. Thanks buddy once again and wish you all the best for your process.

Your wife is your faith buddy   and I'm really happy for both of you guys. Is a chilling story my friend and I'm glad it turned out with a beautiful end!

Did anyone with an NER got their fee refund in MI3. I guess 'NO'. If there is a 'YES', please speak up.

In MI2, fee was refunded for applicants who got a NER but it was never refunded for an application which went into "In Process".

Hence, in MI3, CIO started using the "In Process" stage (on ecas status) during the eligibility review itself so they do not have to refund the fee even if an applicant receives an NER.

This is just my assumption and may not be true. What say?

PLeasant day co-applicants! Hope you guys are ready to calm down a bit as weekend is approaching which means time to rest after a week of waiting for updates or progress of our applications ... Though on monday our exciting journey will resume.

Anyways, I need 2 cents from you guys specially those who have passed the background check stage. Few weeks ago we updated our status to married, surprisingly we got a response from our VO asking for updated forms of Generic form, Schedule 3 for hubby and as for me marriage cert, PCC and 3pcs passport photo(for medical)if not submitted previously;

My questions are:

x for the Schedule 3--- that's about JD and bit of Assets/Liabilities information. I don't think its the JD that I have to update right? Only the Assets/Liabilities part?

x 3pcs passport photo-- anyone here was asked? DO I need to submit eventhough I submitted 6pcs passport photo when we lodged our documents to the CIO.

You can get an international license but that will only be good for 3 months.  After that you have to get a local Canadian driver's license.  You don't need a visa to apply for an international license.  Generally, you will have to take and pass a test in Canada to get a local license.  But there are certain provinces that waive the test requirement if you obtain a certification from the land transportation office in your country of origin indicating 1) that you are a holder of a valid driver's license, 2) that you have been licensed for X number of years, 3) that you have never figured in any road accident, 4) etc.

If you are bound for Ontario, you can visit www.settlement.org for guidance.  If not, you can look up the local settlement organization for the province you are targeting.

hi guys just want to share my ecas update... decision made since jan10, my address disappeared then re appeared today but tyhe address is BC canada... Iam here in Doha, anyone with the same situation? Im waiting for my passport return... God bless everyone
