Longhandle, your optimisum just earned you a +1 from me, Ravi, Grim, start taking lessons from our friend here.

BTW, if 1122 is no longer there next year, those who missed out this year should take French Lessons and apply to Quebec, they don't have an NOC list at all and guess what? no Cap!!!!! Smiley I am sure you already know that. I guess Crane operating is easier than French.

What optimism are you speaking about here? Are you sure that Longhandle is not speaking about the storm of regret letters from CIC? Grin I still have a feeling as Priyavig also felt earlier that they may be busy printing the whole lot of regret letters..

It will fill up in few hours on the first day. As discussed earlier hand delivery would be the best option.

@ grim: you are realistic and the rest are optimistic. There are no pessimists here so far.

@ ravi: tres bien. keep up the french spirit. Check out with Alliance Francaise. They offer very good french language classes.

Just had a long chat with my lawyer.....his view this is pretty consistent. He said the backlog is a day or two.....or a week to max. He cited the reason being slow processing by accounts dept......

Not sure if this is a view or what....but I m taking him on purely face value....let's see!!!!

There is finally one person who really captured the right sense of all my postings Smiley.. What NKKD has stated is only what I've been trying to say.. Guyzz please don't come to any conclusion until at least you hear of a BD en-cashing or CC charging...

Why will it "certainly" be there?

The 2008 list was changed heavily in 2010. There is a good chance the list may change heavily again in 2012 once CIC properly evaluates its current market needs at that time.

The only thing which is certain, is that nothing is certain! Smiley

Please note much of the information on the process relates to 2010/2011 process. A new process is coming out for FSWP in May 2013.

I agree... Usually there is a guarantee of only 2 years for any newly created NOC code to be on the list .. Now 1122 has completed the 2 years this year..

No immigration lawyer or any agent can guarantee anything..coz no one clearly knows the internal structure of CIC and how they function.. Last year's backlog was a week.. now this year the CAP was half of last year..Let's pray that the change in cap does not double or treble the backlag... Cry

ha ha ha....See atleast he is keeping up the good job by saving us from disappointment. Well unfortunately Grim, my guess is most of the people should make it within the cap.Doubtful dates will be 20th onwards. But since I know enough cases wherein last time most of the guys at the last moment also made it well within the cap, so I won't be surprised if people till July end also have made it.

But for those who don't make it the most disappointing news could be scrapping of 1122 category altogether for next year. So as the discussions have rounding in this forum, pick the the Crane Operator course or the best would be being a Chef. Also for those who are thinking Quebec as a backup , the sad news is most of the 1122 category folks don't qualify there either.

Even though with great reluctance due to peer pressure I have applied this year, but with North American market nosediving since 2008, I anyways will find it very very tough getting into Business Consulting there and the least into Investment Banking. So if markets don't look up ,so all I will do is get the stamping done, before the pre-requisite of stamping within 6 months threshold is crossed.

So in all look east guys and also keep the hope alive :-)

To say the 1122 do not qualify for Quebec is not true. Quebec has a preferred list for priority processing, but will welcome anyone with the education and work experience from fields not on their preferred list.

Dear friend,
According to laws of attraction you are making youself  out of equation day by day.Think positive and in return  you will get something postive Also according to the Newton third law of Motion 'for every action their is equal reaction. So think ,act postive and in reaction you will get good news.See i blend social and technological sciences just to turn optimism in you.

Westpoint actually as per new document checklist, you can send ielts copy. Please read conditions carefully though... Are u already aware of this?

thanks SmGrGe, i have read it and it says u can send a copy but u have to attach the letter fr cio w/c says that ur docs were retained and they have w/ them ur orig ielts, but mine was returned, hence it's not with them....however, the good news is, i have secured a copy from ielts, it's in sealed enveloped addressed to cio that is why i am "sort" of busy reading forms, stuff, preparing my docs Grin Grin hope to submit soonnnn Grin Grin Grin
