I agree with most of the points flagged in your kind of loooong passage  Wink
One thing I would want to differ is on the point that most of last applicants made it last time coz I was one among them.. last year there was exactly 8 days of backlog..

If my memory serves me right the Cap closure happened on November 3rd or 5th. And I was about to apply around that. I remember my colleague's app recd on 27th or 28th of Oct and he is already in the process.

Anyone that has already sent an email to CIC has got a response??

Are we frozen on cc/bd encashment?? No more charge later than the apps received on the 8th?

The Cap closed on 5th of November, the apps were received until 27th and a very few of the 28th of Oct were also considered..

Hi Nader, if your application was received on the 15th, you still won't get an email response from them. They have specified on their site to contact them after 6 weeks they received your app. See below on this link http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/apply-after.asp
Try again next week.

Hi All,

I could not apply on time for NOC 1122 for this year because I started the process very late.
Now I am planning to apply for my wife who is a Dentist as the primary applicant.
But she has many gaps in her employment for last 10 years she has only worked for 5 years, will that be an issue?
please advice me on this, based on ur responses I need to take a call whether I should apply this year or wait till next year.

Hello Arjun,

The requirement is "one year continuos employment" in the past 10 years in a profession listed in the 29 Occupations list. This is for her to qualify under the skilled worker category. This one year, just one year, she has to be employed with out gap.
The other requirement is maximum points for work experience. For this if she has 4 or more years of experience, continuos or otherwise, she will get full points.
My personal opinion would be to apply this year with your wife as the principal applicant. You never know what new rules come in next year and also you would have lost one full year.
Trust this clarifies your doubts.
All the best.

I agree with Wonderlust. You must apply as soon as possible.
You even don't know CIC might change the policy in couple of months, who knows?
So apply as soon as possible.
Best wishes for you.

hi, sorry to ask such a simple question but when do I expect to receive "acknowledgement of receipt"? Is that by mail or by e-mail?

By email, probably, if you have put your email address in the Generic Form. Please see the Guide. Wink

hi all
please advise regarding those matter
1. i have 2 kids and spouse migrationg with me, do i need to fill the application form IMM0008 Dep .it says any deppendants more than 5 five only.
2. what educational documents required for my kid doing second std.
3. i may apply only sep 15 only, is it possible get into the cap 3131.
4. my wife's place of birth is different in passport from birth certificate , is it okay a affidavit to convince cic.

you response to all q will be appreciated.

thanks and regards

for wife's date of birth , you should send matriculation cerficate on which DOB is mentioned. In that place of birth they never give. dont send dob certificate if it shows different pace of birth than passport.
I am 100% sure that they accept matric certificate as a proof of DOB. my brother was having same problem but now he got PER. applied inMay 2011 And PER in July.
