What about an application that was sent well before 18th of July but got delivered to CIO after 18th? Which date do they consider? The date of signing on the app or the date of delivery?

Thanks , May be new form will be applicable on or after 14th November, 2011, before that can use old form as well . Senior pls. opinion

well, i think himelocean is correct. BUT it is always better to send the new application forms those have applied after 18th july 2011.

Thanks Rockstar , I also tried to submitt the new form , but here is lot of confusion to fill up the form , if any point ignor then no BAR code page execute even though you cannot put N/A . Thats why didn't take risk , CAP  limited .

Ojool,

They don't even allot file numbers to incomplete applications, they just return it .
 Only when the application is placed into processing (only complete files within the cap make it to this stage) they allot file numbers, as now  they will actually work on your file to determine your positive/negative  eligibilty.

Hence,(sadly) they do not return documents & keep it for their records.

I read that you faced some issues related to claiming adaptability point in ur app. In this regard, i am posting my below situation, if u can answer.

My CC was charged on 4th Aug. It suprised me, since i failed to submit required doc(b/cert of my uncle & father) to prove proof of relationship to claim 5 adaptability point. i am still wondering how my file cleared the "Check Completness" stage without above doc.

Any thoughts ?

Note: i sent them the explanation of not submitting the doc(since b/cert is not available) via mail on 20th July & told them that i will submit the alternate doc (school leaving cert) whenever asked at later stage. i also attached the scanned copy of the school leaving cert just for their ref, hoping that they don't reject my file as i am ready to provide hardcopy at later stage.

I've just applied in FSW. My documents was received (as per DHL delivery notice) on 4th August. Can anyone tell me how long it takes to get the official received notification. I guess they will notify my file No then as well.

In my view, an application without sufficient proof of relationship may still be a complete application without it. It's just you will not be awarded the 5 adaptability points if you have not included sufficient proof to satisfy the immigration officer.

I guess the idea is that the clerk performing the completeness check, who will not be an immigration officer, is not qualified to assess whether or not the proof is sufficient so they leave that until the eligibility review? And in any case it would be annoying to return an application as incomplete if they qualify ANYWAY even without the relationship points. Since they do not tot up points during the completeness check I just think they leave all that until the eligibility review.

Completeness check is just
1) Have you included all forms, fully completed and signed?
2) Have you included all documents in both checklists?
3) Have you included the correct processing fees?

Yes? Ok, send payment slip to accounts and send file for eligibility review.

hey guys ..the receiver general for canada is an account of The bank of nova scotia right?
Can we inquire at the bank of nova scotia regarding the reference number of our Cheque/BD if it was already encashed by their bank? Its too late for me to think about my relatives in Canada,I could have used their
bank account to get a cheque or bd so it could be encashed by CIO faster than the banks here in the phils..
Do you think our relatives can call the bank of nova scotia and ask them?

i think it will be impossible for you to get the details from the CIC bank. they would never entertain such request. its better you be behind your bank from where you have got the draft.

just go to your bank with a copy of the draft and your indentify proof. they might try to reluctant to give you details but its your right and you have keep them hammering.

h there .why did you get rejection? For me, I applied in the college of ontario.. They sent me a mail last march 1,2011...but the mail was received to our house june 1,2011..if its an ordinary post mail..Its really a long wait..There must be something wrong with in our post office..each post office has a lot of backlogs..

My application had reached CIC on 28th Oct. But surprisingly i didnt got a Cap Full reply as to many people whose application was reached on 28th.

My application was rejected because i had not included Proof of Funds. it was an idiotic mistake made by my consultant.
