hehe. Thanks boozer. It's a relief to finally confirm the VO has no veto power over CIO. haha. For a while i thought the VO might overturn the PER issued by CIO. I can't stop hating philpost though. As a management consultant, my work involves a lot of thinking about cutting fulfillment times and other inefficiencies. One look at the post office and I have ten gazillion ideas on what needs improvement. Deym.
Alain, Is that a confirmed rule (about the veto)? I was under the impression that the VO has authority to veto any application they deem unfit. In fact, from what I've researched, until one legally enters Canada as a permanent resident (at a valid port of entry), a visa officer retains the right to refuse an applicant their PR. If the CIO PER is a final affirmation, I'd sleep much easier! And although chronology probably stipulates that I ought to be next in line for MR/RPRF, I have a feeling that us London folks (especially the NOC 1122 applicants) could be in for a long wait. |

I am in the same boat with you... ... waiting for those medicals to show-up in the mail box. Watching Ecas every day does not help to make the waiting easier. |
