I called CIC and come to know from the call center guy that They are opening or entering the data for the 7th Sept. 2011 application only at the moment....

How come other people beyond this date are getting info of their files??

Its not either or but its only the cic call center is giving wrong information...

Hello Paragr1,

I think you should call them a little later. They will have your info by then. Otherwise CIC agents are in the habit (or may have been instructed) to say that they are opening the files just few days prior to rcvd date of whoever is calling. But that info is never genuine.

So try after a week or so and ask for your UCI Nmbr and File nmbr.

Hi Patricia.. I just called them and i got both numbers. The CIC call center agent is the one who gave my DD encash date. She also said so far nothing to worry about and they will contact me for further.

Vinod...did she also mention that they have sent you AOR mail? And for further queries you should contact NDVO?

OMG!!! You Highness, You have made our day. This is wonderful news. I am so so so happy for you.
To tell you the truth I was very nervous when i saw that 498 and I was not sure if you were in. I almost did not respond to many of your posts but was praying that you should be in. I am so gald you could make it and I am very sure your appn is somewhere between 491-500. A PER always brings the best news in the forum...much more than a MR or any other . PER is like adding  a new member to your family. I am very relaxed now.

Yes I wasn't sure too. I mean I thought it would take another 2 weeks to complete CAP, and I would be comfortably in. But they updated 40 applications in just 5 days. That threw me!!! Thats when I started to get jittery. Alls well that ends well :-)

Yes PER means one is in the race to the "finish line" (like Big O says). Though I have not rcvd my PER mail in my inbox, I got both UCI and File Numbers, and also the lady said they have sent me an AOR mail (I am assuming this is PER) and was surprised I hadn't rcvd it. She also mentioned that for any further queries I should contact New Delhi VO (which I assume meant my file would now be transferred to NDVO).

Further, my bank just confirmed my DD was encashed. But she couldn't give me the exact date.

I am a registered nurse here in the Philippines, can I still file my application in Registered Nurse NOC or not? If not, can I apply through Licensed Practical Nurse NOC? Thank you very much.
