Guys, please do not forget that we will be moving there and we have no jobs, no houses, and no "connections".
Be very carefull when dealing with money matters. We will need our funds to survive untill we find a suitable job (which may not easy) or till we understand and know the market well enough to open a business of our own!

I don't want anyone to pass the immigration process exam to fail the Canadian life exam. Keep your money safe for now, Keep the investment urge within you and unleash it when you start your new life in Canada.

Wise advice Big O.  

Everybody, keep your funds intact.  Unless you have a guaranteed job waiting for you in Canada, you will need funds to tide you over what could be a tough first 6 months.  If you are following Canadian news, you will know that Canada's unemployment rate has steadily gone up in the last two months.  GDP growth is likewise expected to slow down through 2012.  We may be facing a tougher job market when we get there.

Phil...dont you worry buddy. Even we havent enclosed the Principal Applicant's PCC with our initial package. I dont think that would slow down the processing of your file. A friend (Indira Prab) was one of the fatest to get Visa from the MI2 batch. They hadnt included PCC either.

So chill buddy. Infact it is a relief to know they are working on your file, isnt it?

Well, what exactly I am interested is that the one you mentioned who got Visa without submitting PCC. Dose that mean your friend had never submited any PCC including the one of Canada with their application and even the CIC didn't request for it?

Phile Chen...sorry if I confused you. I meant to say she did not enclose PCC in the initial package and sent it later when NDVO asked for it. So what I wanted to say was that you need not worry about PCC submission delaying your application process.

Yes Russell....I do feel like I am in (my last petal said so too   )....but then one can never be sure until PER shows up in the inbox!!! I have a feeling you are in too and also Infiant. Beyond that I am not sure.

No I haven't sent any enquiry, as I have always believed (from response some of our friends here have rcvd from them), the call centre and mail agents at CIC have obsolete data with them. At least 2 to 3 weeks old. That confuse people rather than providing relief. So I have saved myself that added tension. If the query is like that of Robstel82, then it helps mailing and calling CIC. Otherwise not....I would think!

Vinod, poonam, jajabor, your highness  don't worry guys. You are in cap. Any of yours PER will give me lot of relieves.

      I'm really sorry, cause the information I provided you earlier about my time lines were a bit inaccurate. I've just realized my mistake sorry!! My application was received on August 19th but i had mentioned August 12th, so sorry. My CAS now shows the following two lines:

1) In Process
2) We received your application for permanent residence on August 19, 2011.

Can you please update the spread please, sorry again, my bad!!!!!

Your dates (PER/2nd AOR) are somewhat matching with mine.....
Even I got my second AOR on 5th OCT....My ECAS status is showing In progress since Sep'11.... till now NO CHANGE is in ECAS status.... what about you???
Congratulations once again !! We are really happy for you.... I think you are from those lucky charms who has got MR so early ( within 6 months).... Its really encouraging us.... TC and stay healthy.... Al the best for your Medicals....

The email should contain:

You name
NOC
Date of application rcvd at CIC
Passport number
DOB
Courier Consignment Nmbr
Copy of courier delivery receipt if you have it

Then mention that you have been waiting to hear from them about your application. And tat you are seeking an update from them.

I would urge you to give them a call as well. But just keep in mind that it might be a long call (upto 30 mins) as they keep you on hold for long stretches of time.

I actually started jumping with joy reading your post . My calculations were right, unbelievable (patting my back)  I told ya first MR should be out in first week of Dec.

Actungbabyk , believe me I use to check your lasts posts everyday as you were not a regular on this thread & I thought I might miss your MR post.. Stay healthy...you are almost there.
