The update of 700 I guess happened on the 15th of October around 5 days before I sent the app on 20th...The update of 500 came on the 5th of Nov .. So it was not really a week..probably 3 weeks..

Okay,

I found the  date of updates as they happened last year,

as of 27th Oct 1122 was at 865
as of 5th Nov 1122 was at 1000.

But applications only upto 28th Oct 2010 were in the Cap.

In footnote, they write that the no. of complete applications is approximate.

There was a 1 week difference between the update (5th Nov) & the date when the cap actually reached.(28th Oct)

This year there might be a bigger difference due to large influx in the 1st week itself.

They haven't opened applications beyond 6th July.

 Worrisome.

300 application received in one week last year.
So 500 applications received  under noc 1122 within the first week of july is pretty realistic.

As you claim 300 applications received last week of year..it also get up updated on website in one week from 28th october to 5th November.As i also have  read PPl till 27th October had made it to cap.So why did after four weeks  from  7th July CIC is still reflecting 367 numbers on website to invite more intake.As according to you they receved 500 in first week ..means in subsequent weeks with same ratio if not more they are now sitting with 2500 applications...How realistic is that...Plz think on that as well.
