salam all,
   we file for canada immigration when we were in pakistan, now we have moved to gulf. our case was transfered to london visa office , we got
one letter on 11/8/10 from them assigning new file number for case. even after one year we r not able to check online status using that new file number , it says not recoganized.  below is the status we get using old file number given by sydney office.



We received your application for permanent residence on January 21, 2010.
 
We reviewed your application and sent you a letter on March 12, 2010. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.
 
Your application and supporting documents were received by the London England office. They are pending review.
 
We transferred your application to the London England office on March 16, 2010. The London England office may contact you.
 
We transferred your application to the London England office on July 27, 2010. The London England office may contact you.




why they r taking so long?

why they r taking so long?

Wait for oct to dec 2011 and first quater of 2012.

Hi all, i have been reading the expert advise of the seniors and they have helped a lot in proceeding my case. i recently received medical request plus have to pay the right of landing fee, i just want to know that how i amsupposed to pay the landing fee to london office. i have made a bank draft but dont know where to send it. plus shall i send a cover letter with it as well,,if yes then please can some one send me a sample cover letter, do i need to send any additional documents as well..please respond to this querry asap..i would really appreciate..Good luck to all. Government of Canada announces one appointment and four reappointments to the Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada
Ottawa, October 4, 2011 — One appointment and four reappointments to the Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada (IRB) were announced today by Citizenship, Immigration and Multiculturalism Minister Jason Kenney.

Normand Leduc, Éveline Fiset, Elaine Doyle and Renée Bourque were reappointed in the Montréal regional office.

David John Lowe was appointed in the Toronto regional office.

The appointment and reappointments were made in accordance with the IRB's merit-based appointment process.

Minister Kenney is committed to delivering on the Government of Canada's promise to fill vacancies on the Board with qualified individuals as quickly as possible after vacancies arise. Since October 2008, the Minister has made 85 appointments and 70 reappointments to the IRB.

Created in 1989, the IRB is an independent administrative tribunal that reports to Parliament through the Minister of Citizenship, Immigration and Multiculturalism. The Board has three divisions – the Refugee Protection Division, the Immigration Appeal Division and the Immigration Division. The IRB determines refugee protection claims made in Canada, hears immigration appeals, and conducts admissibility hearings and detention reviews.
