Government of Canada supports Afroculture: Le festival des cultures in Orleans, Ontario
Orleans, February 11, 2011 – Royal Galipeau, Member of Parliament for Ottawa-Orléans, today announced support for Afroculture: Le festival des cultures (Afroculture: The Festival of Cultures) taking place in Orleans, Ontario.

“Festivals such as this one are a great opportunity for Orleans' multicultural community to showcase their diverse backgrounds as well as the many talents of Canadian artists,” said MP Galipeau on behalf of Citizenship, Immigration and Multiculturalism Minister Jason Kenney.

Action et développement Jeunesse (Youth Action and Development) is receiving $12,500 for the event under Citizenship and Immigration Canada's Inter-Action program.

“The Government of Canada is delivering funds to bring together people from various cultural backgrounds to showcase their diversity and facilitate intercultural exchange,” added MP Galipeau.

The festival, which will take place February 11 to 12, at the Shenkman Arts Centre in Orleans, is open to the public. It will include visual art exhibitions and musical performances that reflect diverse ethnic communities. Everyone is encouraged to attend.

can someone explain the process and approximate timelines a little better.

i had submitted the initial application to CIO on 25th May 2010. They replied and asked for my full set of documents on the 30th of November 2010. which i sent to them on the 05 feburary 2011. they recieved it and its updated in my online status.

i want to know what are the next steps and how long will it take approximately. what is the 2nd AOR for? what is RPRF? what is PPR? where is the medical, what do they check? and where is the interview?

In sep 2010 and in nov 2010 , i told on this forum that jan and feb 2011 are very important for status changed in to IN Process and you can see that my perception almost 99.9999 % accurate.

Thanx .. maple leaf stamp on our PP's will defntly bring in baththeesi (this is Hindi- I hope u will understand- in english it is eqvlnt to a broad grin ) on our faces.... until then pray the God & keep continuing the tense moments... . as u rightly said the waiting period will pass off quickly. my 8 month waiting is off by end march 2011....
