I need advice from senior members.

I am the silent reader of the forum. I have received the AOR today while I applied on 18th May 2010. I had experience of IT manager for more than four years at the time of FSW application.
Problem is that due to company crisis, the company forced me to resign to save big salary. Now I have to send complete application to London VO and must have to disclose any change in employer, NOC etc.

Due to severe recession , my job search may take more than four months in which I have to send application. Moreover job nature can be changed other than IT management like network administration.

What will be affect of joblessness and what will be affects of change of job nature?
My uncle has a medium factory of marble products. He can hire me as IT manager but their IT setup consists of only four computers.....

What should I do?

Your advice is requested.

Hi, I do not think it will affect you, since you will have your full score anyway in terms of work experience. The most important thing is your experience while working. You can take up the employment at your uncles or go back to school but try not to be idle because you have to account for you do monthly. Good luck!

I have only good news for you.
You will get the full score in work experience (21 points) since you have 4+ years of exp. so don't worry about that.
There is no problem at all if you change position/occupation or even field, so go ahead and look for a job and don't worry about the title.

Good luck

It will not affect your job experience since you already gained that experience that they required.

Hi

No worries at all, as all other members already explained to you that it will not affect ur application at all, u just need to do one thing that you have to find new job ASAP and then ll have to notify CHC about your change in job and to send them more documentation about your new job, thats it!  That would be more better if you send the information right now, about your current job termination to CHC even without joining at new place. It will help!

Best wishes

although it will not affect ur application as mentioned by members above;

No problem, as all of the above indicate, as long as you applied as FSW1.

If you applied as FSW2, then you do have a problem...

Can anyone elaborate a bit more on this?

Canadian immigration authorities are aware abt the number of people losing jobs due to recession at no fault of their own.
So bro just intimate the visa office and nothing to panic about.

Hi All,

I asked my first question and some one gave me a -ve point ranking. What is criteria of -ve and +ve point? Does asking a question in this forum gives a -ve point? I am confused....  Undecided

Dont make things complicated.   Accept your uncles job and just send the new job info. on applications.  People change jobs all the time.  Remember,  they dont know your uncles company only has 4 computers and it will not matter anyway because you already have the 4 years in the previos job.

FSW1 = qualifying based on experience in one of 29 occupations

FSW2 = arranged employment
If you lose your arranged employment, you lose your eligibility.
