Job without PR card and SIN card?

Please answer my questions:

1. Does employer offer job without PR card and SIN card?
2. How long the SIN card takes to receive by post?

I think that an employer may give you an offer job withour your PR card, you can show your landing document and should be fine.

When you applied for the SIN they will give you your SIN number at that moment, that would be enough for your employer, the car usually takes 2-3 weeks to arrive, but now with the Canada Post strike I don't know what would happen, I think service canada is using some courier service to continue working.

You just need the SIN number.  The employer can request the info from Service Canada to find out if the name matches the number.
