Hi, may I know if there is a period in the year where jobs are aplenty. The reason I ask this is that in my home country, there are more job openings in the beginning of the year after employees collect their annual bonuses.

May I know if the situation is the same for Canada?

The situation is not the same in Canada, if anything there is more layoffs after holidays because company's have to do cutbacks to save money. You have to understand Canadian companies are not as ambitious as American companies so there is quite a bit of conservative attitude in the Canadian work place.
