Job Offer in Canada - help
«

I have a job offer and my employer is preparing the paperwork to obtain a LMO. I am returning to the U.K. this week.
I would like to become a permanent resident. However, not sure whether waiting for permanency would delay me from working here temporarily in Canada. I assume it would.
Should I apply for a temporary work permit first from the U.K. and then apply for permanency while working in Canada? Re health insurance, I assume that I have to get my own health insurance. This will not be covered by the Canadian health system.
Also, can I travel to Canada while waiting for the work permit application.
Thank you.

Yes, let your work permit application go through and then see about applying for PR if you are eligible.
Temporary foreign workers are usually covered by healthcare in Canada.

Thank you for your quick response. Do you know where it says about the health coverage in Cda? I was also curious - does the employer have to prove that he/she has been recruiting for 3 months? I have read that this has changed and 14 days is sufficient. The employee has been looking but not advertising Cdn. wide.
Please advise. Thanks
