Hello everyone, My name is Emy, i'm from the UK and I need some information concerning about jobs. I'm currently living in Calgary, AB.

I'm currently just a visitor here, but my objective is to move and live here. I've had a job offered to me by the word of the manager, but I'm not sure how I go about getting it legally [with the work visas and all]. He asked also for a social insurance number.

if any of you could help me, I would be grateful!  Smiley

Hi Emy,

I don't know if there is a specific program for people from the UK, but the regular process would be:

1.- The company need to apply for an LMO (labour market opinion) for you.
2.- After getting an LMO you need to apply for a work permit.
3.- After getting the work permit you can get a SIN number from a Service Canada Office.

Regards
