Job for ISO lead auditors

I am a B.tech (Mechanical engineering), after completion of my degree i did job for one year as an ISO consultant in a leading Consultancy Firm in  Chandigarh - INDIA. My scope of work included assisting clients in implementation of various International Standards like ISO 9001:2000, ISO14001:2004, OHSAS 18001:1999, SA8000, TSI6949:2002 etc. Infact i am a Certified Lead Auditor also for Quality Management System Standard ISO 9001:2000. I got certified from British Standards Institute (BSI) which is a leading International Certifying agency. After doing job i came to canada in Jan 2008 for doing one year post-grad course in Quality Assurance Manufacturing & Management. Now my question is that are there chances of getting job in my field here in canada also, i mean can i get job in a consultancy firm or company over here in canada also, so that  further i can become eligible to apply for PR also. If it is so what steps i should follow after completion of my studies at the start of year 2009 and what are the things i should care about from the begining so as to get job after my course.

Happy to know that you are an ISO Lead Auditor certified by BSI as me, i'm also internal auditor certified by TUV for ISO/TS16949, SA8000, ISO14001:2004 and ISO13485:2003. I'm from Cameroun, currently resident in China, Shanghai. I'm working for PROQC which is a Professional Quality Control. My wish is to immigrate in Canada with my family as you, to work there in this field. Can you tell me the school where you did you course in Quality Assurance Manufacturing & Management?

It sounds like you have a good educational background.  The thing you should focus on is getting more experience in audit roles.  Also, I would suggest you look at the jobs posted in monster.ca, careerbuilder.ca, etc. to see what kinds of experience and/or credentials businesses are looking for in your field.
