i worked in a college, and My job title is Receptionist. There are no other administrative job title.
I am wondering if I could apply CEC, really appreciate your advises!!!

The job description is,




Preparing, keying in, editing and proofreading correspondence, invoices,
presentations, brochures, publications, reports and related material
§ Opening and distributing incoming regular and electronic mail and other
material
§ Scheduling and confirming appointments and meetings
§ Providing administrative support to staff meetings, including developing
agendas based on general instructions and previous minutes, notifying
participants of meetings and taking, transcribing, preparing and distributing
minutes
§ Ordering office supplies and maintaining office supply inventory
§ Answering telephone and electronic enquiries and relaying telephone calls
and messages
§ Setting up and maintaining manual and computerized information filing
systems
§ Determining and establishing office procedures
§ Arranging travel schedules and making reservations
§ Assisting other staff in use of current software

A receptionist is Level C in the NOC 1414 and is not considered skilled, which requires either 2 years of skilled work in Canada or Graduation plus 1 years skilled work.

A receptionist is Level C in the NOC 1414 and is not considered skilled, which requires either 2 years of skilled work in Canada or Graduation plus 1 years skilled work.

Here is the job description for Secretary, I think what I did is very similar to this one


Main duties
Secretaries perform some or all of the following duties:

    * Prepare, key in, edit and proofread correspondence, invoices, presentations, brochures, publications, reports and related material from shorthand, machine dictation and handwritten copy using computers
    * Open and distribute incoming regular and electronic mail and other material and co-ordinate the flow of information internally and with other departments and organizations
    * Schedule and confirm appointments and meetings of employer
    * Order office supplies and maintain inventory
    * Answer telephone and electronic enquiries and relay telephone calls and messages
    * Set up and maintain manual and computerized information filing systems
    * Determine and establish office procedures
    * Greet visitors, ascertain nature of business and direct visitors to employer or appropriate person
    * Record and prepare minutes of meetings
    * Arrange travel schedules and make reservations
    * May compile data, statistics and other information and may conduct research
    * May organize conferences
    * May supervise and train other staff in procedures and in use of current software.
