Hi,

I will be sending in an application to sponsor my spouse. These are questions for anyone who's been through the same process for Japanese immigrant application or anyone who knows the answers. Smiley

On the 'Identity and Civil Status Documents' it says:

A marriage certificate, birth certificate, Family register or certified official copy and a translation of your unaltered 'Koseki Tohon' and ' Kaiseigen Koseki Tohon' must be submitted. The translation should be in English or French by a certified translator.

My questions are*

1. Who/where can I get the documents translated by a CERTIFIED translator?
2. How long does it take to get the documents translated?
3. What is the time period for how long the documents are valid for before I send in the entire application? (For example: The medical check is valid for 1 year.)

Thank you!!!
