Hi there,
Our immigration application was delivered to CIC on Jan. 3. Unfortunately our credit card hasn't been charged yet. Any ideas if we should be concerned or it could be that they are still catching up with the applications after the holidays... Any insights and advise would be highly appreciated.

Thanks
Applied from Chicago, IL
Application package delivered 01/03/2012
 NOC 7215
.

They charged my credit card exactly 3 weeks after receiving my application. Docs sent to Sydney, NS

Hi bebun

Do hurry. I hope u will be in CAP.

samirsa

Hi samirsa,

Thanks for your thoughts. I am now really worry because I use David Cohen services to submit my application and as they advise "The forms you completed are the new forms issued by CIC, however they do not have to be used until March 2012", they use the old forms to submit to CIO. Does it cause any problems? Do all of you use the new forms or the old forms to submit to CIO? Please share. Thanks so much. bebun

Hi  kassiopeq,

I was also contemplating to apply under NOC 7215. Can you shed some information about the trade apprentice certificate requirement for this NOC?

I have work experience and on the Job training, but no apprentice certification. Should this be a hindrance? can I apply without the apprentice certificate? Await your response.

Thanks

Hello Everyone,
First let me thank you Samirsa and Mayonnaise for your responds to my post. We are still awaiting any sign from CIC in regards of our application. Nothing else to do but wait, unfortunately.

Endurance, we didn't submit any apprentice certificates. We submitted letters from the manager of the company, where my husband worked as an apprentice carpenter. He also has several years of supervisory/management experience in carpentry trade, for which we obtained a reference from his manager. Each letter contained information about the company he worked for along with his title in the company, detailed list of his duties and responsibilities, worked hours a week (full time/ part time) and compensation. We attached also business cards for contact information. It is also good if those letters are printed on company's stationary paper, although a business card should also do... Make sure, also, that your manager signs the letter.

I hope this helps. I know it is somewhat difficult figuring out every little thing.

Good luck everyone. Keep posting

Hi friends

I don't like to create any new forum but I believe a new forum for January, 2012 applicants will help them to share their update and feelings.
