Simplysimple, maybe for the sake of the others on this January thread, why don't you just start a new thread.


By starting ANOTHER thread you will be able to surround yourself with like-minded people and give each other high fives on the hundreds of photos you've send and the five hundred more hours of waiting that you photo-happy applicants have caused for us! Not that I think even for a second that Immigration Canada actually looks at each and every one of them. 'Cause they sure don't have anything ELSE better to do than flip through 100 pics of your city hall, 200 pics of your wedding cake, 200 more pics of you and spouse posing with every single person in attendance and 200 more of you guys shopping, eating, holding hands, morning noon and night.


Because of your crazy stars, I now have to scroll down more than usual and with abnormally rapid speed which causes me to accidentally miss some of the more important things other januarians have to say.

loool that's a little harsh but i do like ur sense of humor i really laughed...don't worry i don't think the boxes or the many pictures some people send slow down 1st stage cuz i don't think they even look at them at the 1st stage....and i'm sure the vo will look at all the pics if they feel it's necessary....if not they might not look at all....or they might still not b convinced even from 100 pictures....it's the variety of proofs important also ND for example it's a very fast office so they might just throw a glimpse nothing more as i said before each office is different so the best to know how it's right or wrong or if u sent enough pictures is by looking and asking members who already went through the same office....

congrats inflight and swoop definately don't wait 30 days, when u call again in a few days they will tell u something else, probably more positive

thnx alot   @   miss i was just asking but now will make them ready as in case if they ask so i can send them right away along with that i have already received my charactor certificate ( Caisse judiciere ) because i have read that police certificate is valid for 6 months only so last one i got was in sept 11 and now i have the new one .... so GOOD LUCK to every one and hoo everyone get setteled in life soon as i can imagine it's really hard to live far from family especially when u have KID and u have spend some time with your kid you miss all best moments u spend togather .... 2 days i landed from Canada and Already Missing them 

it's good u have everything ready but let them ask first glad u were able to have a visitor visa and b with ur family and yeah the separation is definately hard....we r all separated somehow either from our better half or from Canada/family/friends....it's all different but as hard....the important is that we r getting closer and closer and one day when we'll all b reunited will remember all this just as a stage in our lives nothing more, a stage where we definately learned new virtues take care everyone....keep ur head up for good news (especially those who still wait the sponsor approval)

Lets Hope for the best ..... they were not issuing visit visa & then we presented papers from hospital and from doctor and letter received from MP ell it was really BIG Fuss lol but finally they give on Humanitarion Grounds .... sort of lucky and it was in fate to see birth of ly child and to hold him for the first time soon we all will be with our loved one's LETS PRAY

that is my timeline for now. i havent completed the process yet.

We sent 160 pics total.  We started from our meeting in 2006 to present.  We could have sent 500, but like others have said, that would have been overkill...especially in our situation since we have been living together since 2006.  We do not worry about the VO questioning the genuineness of our relationship, so the pics were simply to show them our relationship over time...not to convince them we are legit.

Anyways, good luck to the remaining January applicants!  I am sure you will have your approvals by the end of this week!

can anyone tell me when the VO requests for Passport, do they do so by emailing the applicant or by letter to the applicant?

our VO is Manila. also do they require that you pay the courier fee for when they return the passport to you? thanks everyone and all the best.

kudos to you for saying it like this! haha ouch! But I was thinking similar thoughts. I mean, I think we sent about 20. We have been together for 8 years though so we just compiled some to show our various trips together, and us with different family members (on both sides) or good friends (proving our family has known and made visits to us, or we made visits to our families) over the entire 8 year period.

In my opinion, sending 100 of just a wedding shows nothing. I mean, if you want to immigrate to Canada badly, whose not to say you just pay for an elaborate "wedding" and snap away! ALSO, we had a small wedding. Just family in his mom's backyard. No ring ceremony. Does that mean we are less legit? That's just our taste.

Lesson-- to each his or her own. Each couple probably has some idea of the strength of their case and feels out what is right for proof. I would say the biggest triggers (for CIC to look deeper into a case) are huge age differences, or different religions, or 2nd or 3rd marriages, or short relationships.

by short-- to be clear, I mean really short. Isn't there a new visa issued too to relationship that are less than a certain amount of time? they get a provisional resident visa or something?

Anyway, happy Tuesday all! Most of us are done stage 1 now and that's a great feeling. Time flies!  We just changed the calendar this morning.. MAY!

Hello Again!!!

Still going crazy wondering whether I should be sending my Passport or not. I tried to call New Delhi but to no avail, my husband called CIC but they tell us to contact "New Delhi". I mailed New Delhi twice already, but no response...at times my anxiety amuses me but the other times makes me really frustrated.....

Anyways, me and my husband thought about it, we decided to wait few days and send my passport, and face whatever awaits us...hopefully good news...finger crossed!!! We are planning to attach a letter along with the passport stating that I am residing in USA (Hopefully they won't call me for interview) Lets see what happens? I will keep you guys posted too....and if anyone has any suggestion....would appreciate it....and I heard that some people had interviews over the phone.....Any idea guys?
