Thanks ashunandal, I figured the same thing. I know its not their fault, they only tell what they know. Just wish they had a few more experienced people working there!

They rec'd my file Feb 2nd, VO New Delhi.
Know I still have some time, but hope I should be hearing somthing about the first stage any day now.

My cousin submitted his file Jan 22nd, as far as I know he hasn't heard anything yet either :S

I'm Jan 25 and no approval yet, and many from January has no word or approval yet too.. CIC will just tell you they are still working on Feb 1.. but, no harm in calling, I've had my share of rude call centre agents, I'd forgive them for having limited information to share us but I won't let rudeness pass, especially if I am being super nice to them on the phone..

The reason I ask is because, I sent my application to this address:

CPC Mississauga
P.O. Box 3000, Station A
Mississauga, ON
L5A 4N6

Is this ok ? I saw that many of you were sending it to:

2 Robert Speck Parkway,
Suite 1200
Mississauga, ON
L4Z 1H8

And the most unfortunate thing is, I moved to a new house in March and ever since I'm unable to find my receipt and tracking number. When I call CIC they ask me for the tracking number so that they can send an email and find out. But I don't have that.

The address I sent it to, Is that OK ?

The Robert Speck Parkway address is the address you send it to if using a courier since there will be no one to receive it at the other address, which is a PO box.

It's seriously starting to get really hard to stay sane, i've become addicted to checking the website for updates tuesday-thursday and this forum the rest of the week to see what the progress is for everyone else.

Totally agree with you pelipeli, call centre agents should at least be trained to deal with us politely. it just frutrates everyone more if they have rude/unhelpful comments.

I totally agree if you can. You will save yourself the time, the effort, the frustration plus you might get an agent that will worry you more. However, I know it is hard to restrain yourself from calling
hahahhaa no its very easy to restrain myself from calling because we are in India now and it costs a lot to call cic from here and we have to call 2-3 times/day. i dont want to call them anymore but its hard for my wife to stay here and wait.  ....everything is boiling here in India (40*-45*)  Embarrassed Embarrassed, we asked her many times to go back for few months (for summer) but she is not ready to leave. she is suffering a lot here in India for me and that makes me angry with CIC. It's really important to step back sometimes....when we get too focused on the timeline it just causes undo stress. Put the focus back on yourself, when you can.
The forums ARE a great place for support, but unhealthly to become obsessed (and too easy) with it.

Just my trying to spread some positive energy our forum family.  Cheesy

In addition to what I said what Pelipeli said

.. but, no harm in calling, I've had my share of rude call centre agents, I'd forgive them for having limited information to share us but I won't let rudeness pass, especially if I am being super nice to them on the phone..
which you might get those rude agents...
I understand, the forum is a great place, you can see others experiences.... I can only imagine those weeks when CIC's site was saying processing application rec. Jan 25

Try to channel your anger towards something fruitful if not for us then for others. Contacting the minister about these issues which we all suffer from, petitioning, ... etc

inflight, I sent it to the address you used too - I knew about the courier address but went with the one given in the instructions (CPC Mississauga, P.O. Box 3000, Station A, Mississauga, ON, L5A 4N6). No news about mine too, but I don't think its because of the address. Mine got delivered on the 31st of Jan.

Hi, I just verified that my mobile plan does not have unlimited long distance calls so just between my calls yesterday and today, I have racked up 32 dollars of long distance charges already, ouchhh..

If you're in North America you can use the Gmail "Call phone" feature for free.  I'm using a VPN over here in China, so I simply connect to a US server and I can call CIC for free.  Just a suggestion to try and save a bit of your hard earned money.

I sent my application through a courier (DHL) to the wrong address..the PO Box one instead of the Robert Speck Parkway one and they still signed for it and it was recieved no problem.
