thanks missmini.. oh trust me I have been doing all sorts of things to distract myself these past 3 months... work, books, movies, new gadgets, shopping clothes, bags, shoes,, make up, involving myself in church activities, sightseeing... they all keep you preoccupied for a while, but there are really times or days like these when the waiting is at its worst.. 

But yeah, u r right missmini, it is a good sign , and now everytime my email alert tone sounds off my heart skips a beat.. Does it really mean the app is complete? Coz that is also one of my fears, despite all the organization I've done , I'm still paranoid that we missed a signature or a page or something.

looool u do all i did and still do!!! i already almost finished one book and didn't read literature for years!!!! anyway that's the way to go u need to distract urself...if u feel u have too much free time, learning a language, volunteer for something or go back to school...all these r also good ways to keep u so busy!!
yeah i strongly believe that they won't make an online file for an incomplete application....even if it's not 100% complete, whatever is missing is not something to return the package for; it is something they could ask later....but i'm sure u didn't miss anything, i saw the pictures the thing is, u were already in the system before for ur own pr application, ask them (if u call again) if ur hubby is in the system or if u r in the system as a sponsor or maybe they reactivated ur name, uci now, as they did for me

Actually, when I called, what's new from the other times I called before is that when I punched in my UCI number that is on my PR card, the automated voice said they received my application for PR on September 27, 2004 which is the date of my father's PR application 8 years ago. So yes , it makes sense that they maybe reactivated my UCI number. Then during the personal info verification, when I called before, they just asked my name, UCI number, address, phone number and birth date. This morning, the agent also asked my husband's complete name ,and I was actually thinking that time, "wow, does this mean they can verify my husband's name now, so its already in the system? " haha.. wishful thinking

they dont know really how to respond about our inquiries, they just ask your details and put in CIC site to check online status and we all know that ecas doesnt work properly even after getting approval.

oh wow, those kind of responses are frustrating.. I hope we have good news soon. maybe we have the same slow moving CIC officer working on our files , lol

I called the CIC call centre now and on the automatic update it says my application was received on Jan 24. I was waiting to speak with an agent but got disconnected.. Maybe others should call and check too.

Hi- I called CIC, they see me in the system and that I'm 'in progress' and to call back in a couple of days. They also said that my sponsorship should be approved in a few days. My application was received Jan 24. I hope to hear some good news in the next few days.
