Jan 16, 2012 : Application Received by CIC Mar 13, 2012 : AOR Mar 22, 2012 : Received a letter and the last page of the barcoded form from the Embassy *My husband reprinted the barcoded forms and mistakenly submitted the one without my signature*Mar 23, 2012 : Letter and now signed form FedEx-d to Ontario Apr 11, 2012 : Sponsorship Approval letter sent to my husband. but as per eCAS, still "IN PROCESS" status... i guess they have yet to update our status. |

I am so glad for all the approvals! It's such excellent news and it can only mean that CIC-M is trying hard to be as efficient as they can.
I hope that the VOs are as well. No AOR from Buffalo yet and our app was sent to them March 20th.
Sounds like Sydney VO is a good one though!

Well, to be precise, it was mailed Jan 23 and received Jan 25 as per XpressPost tracking. Actually it was supposed to be delivered Jan 24 but Canada Post misdirected it, so it arrived a day late and I ended up getting a full refund of the mailing charges! So no complaints  Thanks all, for the good wishes. I'm so excited to see how many more updates our group gets over the next few days. Awesome! I have more hope. |

Wow..Love that place. I am from North India but lived in the Pune for 3 years. Are you by any chance coming to BC?
And yes, we are unable to log in to ecas as well. We will wait till next week and hopefully by then we should be able to log in. If not, we might have to call the Call Center for assistance.

Yes, so far I am very impressed with the Sydney VO. I wrote to Sydney and Buffalo (the two offices I qualify to submit to) about 6 months ago and asked a few general questions (the same of each). I got a form letter back from Buffalo (not answering my questions) and a personalized email back from Sydney addressing everything I asked. At that point I KNEW I had to submit there, even if it meant flying to Australia for an interview. They just are so much more personable. |

Sounds like that was a smart idea! My husband qualified for the London and the Buffalo VO, but since he was born in the US and only has the UK passport because of his parents, we only thought of it too late. doh!     oh well. |

That's probably good news Podkayne8! I think they would only send it over there if they know it will be completed quicker. And I was told of my Sponsorship Approval on Tuesday.. and today (Thursday) I can finally log into Ecas.... It just shows Application Received so far... 1 hour before I could not log in.. now I can.. perhaps there will be more updating later? we'll see.

I hope you are right! That was my thinking too. As far as ecas, I don't think they update it that often. It took some days for it to show anything after we got our approval. And I don't see any changes to it when I log in, still just says Application rec'd after all this time so *shrug* I hope we continue see more movement! I like our Janaury group! |
