I thought for sure I was going to wake up this morning to an e-mail from CIC! I am inspired by all of you that called though. I will call next week and I also (like others here) encourage everyone to call who had their apps filed on or before Jan 25th. In the meantime, happy weekend to everyone!  |

weird is under-statement. Since it takes them much time why do not they open applications once received check it quickly then send acknowledgements
200% agree. They should untilize the tax payers' money better and more client service oriented. (my day dream) |

I think so. But you should also see "sponsorship approved" statement I think. |

awww.. okay... thanks.  hopefully he will be approved soon. i had him checked his mails, he hasn't received any. but it's a good thing that we can access the e-cas now, and i'm relieved that our medicals had already been received by the embassy. |

hey Everyone first, congraaaaaaats Gemini i'm very happy for u!!! it was a too long wait  u still didn't get the approval email? OMG it's really taking long for them to send an email let us know when u receive it welcome to everyone new we really have a nice big group  u can compare ur timeline with the rest of us from the spreadsheet (which is the alf+jlh signature) FYI: when the sponsorship part is done it should write "decision made"; also usually nobody can access the e-cas before the AOR - when we get the AOR (confirmation) that's when the file is in the system and they start working on it; but not everyone gets AOR also if no AOR yet it does not mean the file is lost just it was not its turn yet  to login in the e-cas it's either by the payment receipt number or the client id with the sponsor details (ppl know the client id once they start receiving any correspondance from CIC) good luck all and have a nice weekend |

Or if you applied immigration or other sponsorship, you can use your existing universal client ID, 8 digits. Then go to CIC website, click "Check application status" link, then follow the instruction ... Same here, 2 days after yourr application delivered and no record at all in their system. |

You won't have access to e-cas until you get your sponsorship approval.
I (applicant) and my sponsor have had access to eCAS since 2 days after they opened our application but still no sponsor approval. |
