Medical received by Ottawa 7 December.
Medical "approved" by Ottawa medical division of Canada Immigration in mid December.
Does anyone know what medical approved means? Does it mean I'm in good health or just that my doctor was an approved examiner?
(this is info I got over the phone when I called cic to ask if my medical had arrived.)

Medical "approved" means your doctor is in a real good health and he/she needs to be re-examined for CIC purposes. We really do not know if you are a health hazard or NOT yet got you april's fool  |

Oh Canadiangirl why donot you tell her The medicals don't go to Mississauga, seemingly they just go to the visa office, so the application and the medical are in theory being processed simultaneously (although in reality I'm sure my app hasn't even been opened in Mississauga yet). So London have my medical info now and that gets married up with the rest of the app later when the app is transferred from Mississauga (hence you include that one piece of paper from the DMP in your application, I can only assume that is what they use to match them?)
I guess as far as the medical processing goes, they must not contact you unless they have a reason to? No news = good news? I heard of another case of someone getting a request for more medical info well before the sponsor approval was completed so it sounds like that's quite normal, it's just that most people wouldn't hear anything regarding their medical because their medicals are likely normal? Who knows....

Hi everyone!!!!
Just wanted to share our news...as I mentioned my husband received his email that his application was received in Vienna on Friday. He got an email TODAY requesting his Passport!!! It took one day!!!! I am going to see him in Serbia on Saturday and we are planning on going to Vienna on Tuesday or Thursday next week! Cannot believe how fast this went!!!!
