They did not tell us the sponsor was approved, only that we would receive a decision regarding sponsorship within 2 weeks. We were told the sponsor Client ID and that everything looked "normal"... I assume that means there were no notations stating a request of additional documents.

Ok it sounds like sponsorship approval is on its way then....I got my client Id code with my AOR....maybe we were getting ahead of ourselves to think your file was already in Sydney, especially since they only received it the mid of January.

It's going to happen soon! And when it does it's going to be great, cause like I said, you have a faster processing time at your visa office then most!

Thank you. I really hope you're right. What information are you basing this thought on?
I have been particularly concerned over this stage of the process because my husband was unexpectedly laid off his job 2 days after his sponsorship application was received by immigration. I realize there is no financial requirement for the sponsor, but it can't look good to them when they go to verify his employment only to discover he's not working there. :S
I have been excitedly following YOUR progress on the spreadsheet and checked back through all the New Delhi applicants since June 2011. I have a quiet bet with myself that you will have Principle Applicant approval on the 15th of March. What is your guess?

You sure will do. Don't be stressed out too much. It was kinda same experience for me too..The CIC agent told me that they sent me a letter and haven't disclosed any info further to it. But from my experience of my own case and from my observation of other threads...If a client ID is generated, then its most likely as a result of sponsorship approval.

So keep your fingers crossed and wait for the final word.

Everything will be alright buddy.

Yes, in my excitement I think I worded my post poorly. I've since reworded the original post. My application is not in Sydney yet, but we do know our sponsorship application is being processed.
Thank you for the good wishes! We sure did need some good news this week. It couldn't have been better timing.
I'm curious to see the progress of "kiwicanuck" as her application is exactly one month ahead of mine and in Sydney right now.

Thank you! This is great to know and very reassuring. I'm already feeling so much better knowing that they actually opened our file and it didn't just blow out the window of whoever's vehicle was picking it up from the PO Box. ha

Today it is a festive day in INDIA called "Holi" (Festival of Colours)

Coincidentally today is also another important day "International Women's Day"


So on this eve, on behalf of all the men out there I thank you all women out there who brought colors to our life. "Happy Women's Day"

LOL same for me. It said the 29th for me until very late last night. Then it did finally switch to March 7. However I just looked today to see if perhaps they had updated the processing days and it is back to the 29th for me.

Regardless I am assuming no new update this week. Hopefully next week brings news!

Maybe a bunch of people called the toll-free line to query the "55 days, working on Jan 3 files" update as one of those things cannot be correct anymore, and they've reversed the "updated as of" date back to Feb 29th until they figure out what the actual update should say. 

Regardless, I'm not stressing anymore; ddobro2's calming speech from yesterday had the desired effect.  Thanks for that, ddobro2!

I love this month, March. Holi, int'l women's day, Purim, St. Patrick's day, and most important of all for those of us in Canada, the first day of spring!

Every Wednesday we check the processing times and try to check our application status with the receipt number (we paid online by credit card) but it still says we are not in the system.

I was annoyed this morning to find that the processing times seem to be updated to March 7th, but it still says the same as last week's info (55 days, working on apps January 3rd)!

Anyway, I see some of you have already gotten a client ID number and have received an e-mail from CIC-M that your app is in process (when your app was received by CIC-M around the same time, or after ours was)... I am wondering why we haven't heard anything yet. Any reason we should be worried? I'd love to get some good news! Or some reassurance...

I think Mississauga is just really busy, it happens. Don't get discouraged....some people might not ever see an AOR from Mississauga.

Anyway let me add you to our spreadsheet, join our waiting game and well all get through this together.

I've promised it before, we HAVE to eventually hear something, I bet when it starts it's not going to just Rain, it's going to pour!

Try not to worry....sponsorship approval is the shorter if the two stages, it we frak out now it's going to be so much worse when it akes double the time for buffalo to process our apps.

You're right, you ultimately just have to let it go.. BUT, I just want to hear something. I just wonder why you would have and we wouldn't have. Does it come down to the agent who is working on the actual app? It's one's policy to give an AOR when it gets put on their desk, and another's policy to not send an AOR until they have approved it or not?

OK, just worrying too much. Please do go ahead and put my stats on the spreadsheet. It's great to know what other's are experiencing in the same boat!

Just got off the phone with CIC... the woman told me they can't find my file and that because they are technically still working on files received January 3, 2012, she can't do a search on it yet. She told me to call back in 2 weeks.
