Thanks all in the forum for your help and support. Best wishes for all.

Jalams2000,

Congratulations!!!!

When did you ask them? Did you ask them by email about your status? If yes, which email address did you ask them? When did you send your full application to CHC in Singapore?

I sent my full application to them a year ago, but I haven't heard anything from them so far. I would like to ask them about my status, but I am afraid they don't answer my email.

Thanks
Danny

Dear danny2009 & nit4canada,

Thanks for your words. My full application was sent on 8th August,2009. But there was no response from Singapore so I wanted to send an e-mail to enquire about my file status on 02/10/2009.On 04/10/2009 I got an reply that I have to send updated photographs and application form. I sent them on 04/10/2009 and they received the mail on 06/10/2009. On 15/10/2009 I sent another enquiry to know the status and on reply they informed me that they were sent package on 08/10/2009 to my address. Guys, as I experienced I think they are now replying to e-mails. If you think your file is delaying then you can e-mail them to know the status of your file. I read in other thread to the forum where it is said that an e-mail enquiry delays file processing I do not think so. Sometimes it is reducing the processing time as you can know the status of shortfall in your file in advance to do accordingly.

I had collected the e-mail address from the web: singapore.gc.ca. You may check with your visa office's web to know the e-mail address of correspondence.

regard.

Congratulations Jalams2000! I am keeping my finger crossed for you in the remaining stages.
By the way, Can I ask if you used a consultation agency/lawyer to apply? Or you did everything on your own? What do you recommend on this?

Dear mbastudies,
Thanks. Yes, I had applied through a lawyer in Canada. But I think lawyer's help is not required at all nowadays for applying. As I experienced they can not add any value to your application. They are working just a post office or courier service for you. They forward your file on your behalf by adding their service contract. It is surprising that they are sleeping when you are asking for their help. So, I believe, if any one reads the threads in the forum carefully then he will be able to prepare the application and submit easily.

Hope for the best.

You're right, but then you know, sometimes I feel afraid I rather not risk and use their help. Because at least in difficult situations they can better guide you band also they will check your documents before submitting them. I have seen a lawyer firm services and they seem to charge around 2000 USD. Do you have an idea if this is reasonable? Which lawyer did you use? Were you happy with their performance and helps?

Dear mbastudies,

You are right, to be more sure of your submit you have to take a consultant's help. The charges USD2000.00 seems to be reasonable. But you should check their membership in the list of the canadian authorized lawyer. My lawyer is associated with a local agent and they charge me USD4000.00. I am not at all satisfied with their performance, so I do no want to mention their name here.

Dear aamirdr,
Thanks.

Best wishes.
