Hey mayena,

It is taking longer at the Islamabad office and its pretty normal. They have sent you the letter on Feb 28th and you havn't received it even after almost a month I have a feeling it might have got lost or could have just been delayed for some reason. You have emailed them already so lets wait and see if you get a reply. Follow the link below for Islamabad applicants for more info and help.

Don't compare your processing to other people's - it will only frustrate you.  Every case is different - even when at the same embassy.  You say that you received several letters requesting additional info from you - that is going to delay your processing.  I think I would see if you can get them to re-send the letter they say they sent on Feb 28 - but, be aware: we were told several times that Buffalo had sent us letters when they never actually had.  Have you contacted your MP's office to see if they can get you some information?  Even without the delays caused by them needing to request additional info from you, Islamabad's processing timeline for spousal aps once they receive the application at the embassy is 21 months - so you are actually still within normal processing timelines.  See what the MP's office can find out - or order your CAIPS notes.
