Dear Friends
I landed in Canada a little over 2 months back and I have got the goods to follow list verified by the immigration officer with me. I landed from India, but my goods to follow is from the US since I was staying there. I am planning to have these items shipped through USPS to Canada (they are only 3 carton boxes).

- Will it be an issue if the goods to follow is from a different country other than the place from which we landed?
- what sort of security clearance happens during a postal parcel delivered from the US? Do I need to paste a copy of the certified goods to follow on it prior to being shipped from USA/show that to the USA postal service?
Any other advice from your experience is highly appreciated.
Thank You for your time

1.  No.
2.  I would rethink UPS as they tend to charge very high Customs handling fees.
3.  Security?  Probably will be opened by Canada Customs.

Thank You PMM
I had checked with USPS (United States Postal Service) and not UPS. Their charges looked reasonable, but I will check again.
Thanks again.

Hi gocanada963,

i sent you a private mail about this matter.  i would like to know the procedure you followed to have your goods shipped from US to Canada.  Also, how did you claimed your goods? did you clear them to the customs office?  when you get the chance, please reply to my PM as well.

thank you and best regards,
