Clutching at straws here a bit. Trying to find a way for my brother to get accepted

For 2 1/2 years he ran a family laptop repair company

This involved:
marketing the company
meeting with suppliers
purchasing equipment
repairing the laptops
billing the customer
end of year accounts and tax submission

This was part time along side his main day time job

Would this satisfy the one year work experience in the 38?

Thanks

Robbie

Hi Robbie

In what you described the only part related to IT is repairing the laptops and that too comes under NOC 2147 Computer Engineers, which is not listed in the list of 38 occupations I am afraid. Unless of course your brother's day job resembles the description of NOC 0213 at this link? - http://www5.hrsdc.gc.ca/NOC/English/NOC/2006/QuickSearch.aspx?val65=0213> If it does then he could apply as IT Manager.

That's what I was getting at but does do these roles closely resemble enough 0213 as he was "managing an IT Firm"
