After landing,  you need from CIC only the PR Card. The status of the PR Card is to be known by contacting the CIC Call Center in Canada. You don't need any information from ECAS any more. I  did open the ECAS  2 or 3 days after landing, in March 2009.,  for curiosity to check any updates there. Amazingly I found " IN PROCESS ", the same words,  what I used to see almost all the time. Nothing about visa issued or landed!!!

Eventually when it is update, it state the date of "landing" then it will disappear.

Thank you all  for sharing. I thought ECAS would be able to give some information about the PR card, hence I was curious to know. Any way, may be its normal process for ECAS to go away after landing .
