I rang  CIC 1888 number today about my visa extension.

While on, i just asked about my rehab (the more answers the better).

He told me, that because the most recent is 11 years ago, 12 years since the first, THAT I AM DEEMED REHABILITATED already?Huh?

No believing, i rang back later, got through and asked the same question, to be told the same answer???
That they will look it up themselves when they see the clearance cert.

Incidently, the DUI is not showing on my clearance cert!, but i am telling them anyway obviuously

ya know.....it could well be true.....here is my story.

I applied Inland, common law. I have a UK caution on my police record. There were HUGE differences of opinion about this at the time. Some said I was inadmissible as a caution meant I had admitted guilt to a crime. Others said it meant nothing, as I had never been charged with a crime.

So, I waited 7 months in total terror, not really sure either way. I got AIP in 7 months and landed less than a month later. CIC did not care about my caution at all.

So.....11 years after your conviction, if the IO reviewing your case is a sweetheart, I kinda guess it could be true....just keep everything crossed.

Routing for you.... Grin Grin

You will only know when CIC officially document the fact that you are rehabilitated.

so should i still send in the rehab app, court docs, and the $200?
BTW, if i apply for PR/SP + WP, and (maybe) deemed rehab, will i stick 1 receipt for $900, or 550+150+200?

surely me telling them about it without it being on the police cert will reflect good on me?  What examples of extension to visitor visas have you heard of?
thanks
