Recently officials from the London Visa Office visited the Canadian Embassy in Abu Dhabi and had invited CSIC members for a brief meeting. They confirmed that currently their focus is on recently lodged applications, followed by applications lodged before June 2010. They also confirmed that old rule applications(lodged before 27th Feb 2008) will not begin processing before 2012. So its a confirmed wait for another 12 months!!

i have also heard this news from my Consultant. they will take more 6 months to start old appli.

Farima,
This news has been going around for sometime. Their seems to be some truth in it - and It may well be true. I have heard others speak about it on other forums too. People who have spoken to their consultants and,  I did quote it from another forum in one of my posts on this forum too. This is also one reason why I am planning to give up the Canadian dream or may be the Canadian Nightmare, who knows.

Might be i could be wrong......bt why you guys are waiting.Withdraw the old application and submit new one.......although its not easy i know....... Cry

look why we should withdraw? if CIC starts the immi programme, they must have a regulation and justice about their on going process. we have waited for last 5 years and we want to wait more two years to see the ending..............

No way. No more waiting after 48 Months. It can't be! Their is a life out their even without Canada.  Maximum 48 Months according to their AOR or else to hell with it.

Agree, who knows what they will say again after 2 years wait. Why would I want to trust them after 48Months as stated in their AOR.

from my observation, after two years they wake up and start to work. then again went to hybernate...............ha ha ha Cheesy
