Is there anything that can be done after being placed on the interview list?

Logged

Singapore received my wifes PR application in March 2011.
Received letter in November 2011 informing us that we are on an interview list.
Have been informed (via MP) that my wifes interview will take place in 2013.

Hi there,

You can order your CAIPs notes to get an idea why they think you require an interview. If they dont think that the marriage is genuine, then you can send more relationship proofs to show that you guys are in a continuous relationship. The people over at the Islamabad thread do this all the time because they have a longer processing time, and there were even instances when the interview was waived!!

So I believe, the first thing you do is order CAIPs/GCMS notes to figure out why you guys might require an interview. Which VO are you applying from though?

All the best! Smiley

We applied last February and it went through Singapore VO.

On our letter it states, Case Status/Additional Information Required.

After sending our application I was told by a local Immigration officer and by my MPs office to NOT send any additional information until they ask. I didnt but did send them an email saying that if they need more information to please just ask as I have plenty. Now we have this letter which states the wait for an interview is 24 months. It also states that they will not accept any other information except address, e-mail changes or to cancel an application.

Wow, this sounds like a pain. If I were you, I would certainly order those notes to get an idea where my case is going. And continue collecting as much evidence as you can. Seems like you are in for a wait now. Prepare well for the interview.

Good luck! Smiley
