it is realy is the CAIPS will slow down the processing of your immigration file if you request the Caips

Nope it does'nt...though they do get to know each time CAIPS is requested....sometimes it can help the file being brought up to the table..but in no way it effects negatively.....

Should not be treated in this way!!! Every applicants have the right to know about the update of his/her case and CAIPS is a paid service for that. So, there should not be any logical reason to slow down the processing for CAIPS.

1.  Actually it is a free service for anyone residing in Canada.  You are just paying the fees to a private company if you are outside Canada, it doesn't cost them anything.

it costs only $5 for a Canadian to order on behalf of their relative/friends.

as others said, its a paid service and applicants' right to know what has gone with their file.
It never affects the proceedings.
