I plan to apply now but have not booked accommodation. I heard booking accommodation is really important for study visa in UK.
What abt Canada. How much weight would having provisionally booking accommodation have?
OR should I just write in the cover letter that I plan to stay at bla bla

Not really CIC/CHC doesn't care where you stay as long as you have $10K + Tuition fees to support yourself for the first year.
