Hi all experts, Is it risky approach to go for advance diploma after 3 years graduation? Will there be issue of study mismatch in that case? I am planning for north alberta institute of technology,Alberta. Thanks

@ Ashok,
It it not mismatch, as postgraduate diploma are designed for students have bachelors degree (3 years or above) and looking for further education. During our degree fairs at local colleges here, I have come across alot of students coming and using the same path way.
Good Luck! Y

Advance Diploma is for 3 years (for students completed their high school) whereas PG is for one year (for those completed bachelors degree or a mature student with required qualification). Students completing 2 years post secondary diploma have chance to carry on their studies and complete advance diploma. This help them to gain some credits over bachelors degree at university level.
For you postgraduate diploma is better option. You may also read a thread on this forum about how you can gain 3 years work permit. After one year postgraduate diploma, you are entitle (as of today) to gain post study work permit equivalent to length of your studies.
Regards Y

hi, as you may not know that in north america bachelors degree is of 4 years so advance diploma is for student who have done 3 year degree and pg diploma is for students with bachelors degree.

yes u can but as u are saying that u secured 49% it will be hard to get the visa or that matter a admission ,but u can get it if u have a good aggregate from 10th std to you 3rd year all the years and semesters.it should be above 65% and a good ielts score more than 6.5.
