Folks,

I applied to PR from Seattle. Now I quit my job and came to Vancouver as a visitor. I got medicals request today and I'll have to leave Canada in a month (my visa expires and best friend is getting married). I won't have time to get my passport back in a month. I'm thinking of PR locally in Vancouver. Is it possible just to show up in person and do that?

you got medical request today!

if it did not include PPR (which most probably it didn't) then it's still a long way to go ... just do your medicals (you can do them in Vancouver or Seattle as long as it's an official DMP) and after that do whatever you want (go back to Seattle or stay in Vancouver)

I did my medicals in May and am still waiting for PPR from Buffalo

Well, I've been waiting for medicals for a year and would one more if not one thing. My friend suggested me to go to member of a parlament and ask for help. So, I did. MP sent a request to Seattle and I got medicals the next day. So, I guess I still can ask MP for help once again and get pasport request quickly.

My problem is that I can go back to Seattle since my visa is expired. In a month I'm planning to start traveling a lot and I'll need my passport. So, that's why I want to stamp PR here and go for travel.

No, there is no way to stamp your visa in Vancouver. You still have 3+ months before VO asks you to send your passport for visa stamping. You can only get your visa from the visa office that processed your application.
